As a designer maker of architectural stained glass, I enjoy the versatility of working on both site specific and non site specific pieces. My work covers a broad spectrum of disciplines, including two dimensional window screens and free-standing pieces - my main area of exploration with these is in the use of sheet glass, seen in my Untitled Design for the DTI Building. I also welcome the opportunity to work in conjunction with other designers and architects. Whilst at Chelsea College of Art and Design, I had the opportunity to study under the tutorship of Deborah Coombes, Ray Bradley, Maude Cotter, and Jonathan Butler.
I am competent at Restoration work with skills that include gilding, moulding, casting, faux finishing and carving. Corporate art and site specific commissions hold great interest for me and I enjoy the process of discovering and fulfilling the requirements of prospective clients.
I have a desire to take glass to its limits, exploring beyond the conventional view of glass as a rigid and brittle medium.
