Artist's Statement

The final body of work I produced at Wolverhampton came out of my thinking about fragmentation and completeness and what it is that holds us together.
I wanted to make "signposts" - pieces that point to the existence of a greater whole.
"...fix (your) eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4v.18
These are my larger pieces of work. I also made a series of hand-held, two-part pieces where I explored the idea of interlocking forms - pieces that are not truly complete until put together.
