Artist's Statement

Images of Stone are an expression of the imagination together with the visual pictures told in the face of the hand cut rock.

Each stone I work on has afforded me the ultimate in artistic challenge.

My palette varies with each portraiture, as every stone is unique and has its own characteristics. My medium is acrylics in as much as they can be handled in a pure form for vivid colors or for the faintest images.

It is my desire to capture and enhance the images of the stone in their natural beauty and create a new awareness of the world we live in. My paintings depict "Nature's Picture Book in Stone".
