Personal Profile

Paul has twenty years experience in designing and forging metals and is considered to be among the leading British designer metal-smiths. Having completed both a formal metal-working apprenticeship and studies in fine art he is unusually well qualified to execute his own innovative designs.

Paul hot-forges steels and non-ferrous metals to his own designs using both traditional and modern metal-working techniques. His work includes indoor functional sculpture such as fire baskets, bookends, candlesticks, clocks and lighting as well as larger outdoor pieces such as sundials, weathervanes, gates, fountains, bridges and garden furniture.

His public commissions include park and street sculptures and he has recently installed a large sculpture of three figures for the town centre of Ashton-under-Lyne and won the competition to install new gates for Worcestershire Cathedral. He is working on two commissions at the moment; for Sutton Coldfield and for Hereford and Worcester County Council.
