The Chevron Variations, © Art Brenner
The longest sculpture in the UK is
designed as an 'art barrier' - an aesthetic solution to separating two
properties. The sculpture was commissioned by Chartwell Land on the northern
boundary of Blackpole Retail Park in Worcestershire.
It is fabricated from steel and consists of large scale geometrical shapes in a variety of mesh patterns and shades of blue.
The Association of Business Sponsorship of the Arts awarded a grant for the sculpture.
Artmatters drew up a short list of artists and the most innovative and appropriate design was chosen.
