Solo Exhibitions

Between 1971 and 1980, I had a number of solo exhibitions of my paintings in Romania, Poland and Sweden, subsequent critical reviews and a number of paintings bought by private collectors.

However, from 1980, I have been following a new and quite different path in my approach to painting to the extent that, at this stage, I consider work previous to 1980 irrelevant for my present approach to painting.

There have been no solo exhibitions of my work since.

Artist's Statement

I don't think I can make an artist's statement as I am wary of defining in words what should be visible in my paintings.

I use oil paints to render images on canvas.

Images just occur to me and I don't have any a priori set of rules or particular theories that I follow in the process of painting, but the resources and limitations of the medium.
