The sculptor, Charles Poulsen, works mostly with lead; a beautiful material in his hands. 'I wrap complete sheets of lead around objects selected from my immediate surroundings for their simple graphic quality,' he writes. 'The lead wrapping rather than concealing the object acts like a skin, changing how we view it; a stone becomes weightless, a tool sheds its rigidity.'
